According to a report by the Ministerio de
Salud on the confirmed cases of AH1N1 flu,
75% of the 8 confirmed, 3 probables and 109
under investigation by the Instituto
Costarricense de Investigación y Enseñanza

The figures also show that the majority of
those infected are women.
More than 1.100 cases have been reported to
health officials since the outbreak on April
24, the majority being discarded as being

Health officials are asking that people
don't let their guard down, continue to
apply preventive measures like frequently
washing their hands and proper protocol for
sneezing and coughing, which also prevent
the spreading of the common flu virus and
other bacteria.
Health officials also made a call to remind
the population to eliminate breeding grounds
of the Dengue fever carrying mosquito.
