It's official,
US VP Joe Biden Will Be Visiting Costa Rica
On March 29
It is official, United States vice
president, Joe Biden, will definitely visit
Costa Rica at the end of the month. The
Biden visit was made official by the Bruno
Stagno Ugarte, Costa Rica's Foreign
Minister.
The news of the Biden visit has been
circulating since last week. However,
neither the White House nor Costa Rica's
Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto,
would confirm or deny the visit, until
yesterday.
Biden will be making a stop in Costa Rica to
meet with Costa Rican president, Oscar
Arias, while on route from Chile back to the
US.
Yesterday, Stagno confirmed that the
president of El Salvador, Tony Saca and
president-elect, Mauricion Fuentes;
Guatemala's president, Álvaro Colom;
Honduras vice-president, Arístides Mejía;
and, Nicaragua's, Daniel Ortega, will all be
present during the formal meeting with
Biden.
Panama's Martín Torrijos and Belize's, Dean
Barrow, have yet to confirm their
attendance.
The meeting is expected to take place on
March 30th at 10am at Casa Presidencial in
Zapote.
Arias and Biden are expected to meet
privately on March 29 at Arias home in
Rohrmoser following the Biden arrival.
