Zelaya: Soon Return to Honduras
Caracas - Honduran President Manuel Zelaya reaffirmed
Friday he will soon return to his country to
join his people in the fight against
Honduran coupists and to restore
constitutional order.
The Central American leader told Telesur in
a phone conversation he appreciates and
thanks the diplomatic missions carried out,
and he has now taken into consideration the
different alternatives for arriving to his
country, whether by air or land.
There is a hope, an open door to a solution
by means of dialogue, but it won't last
forever, it ends in 24 hours and the
Honduran people have the right to use other
measures in case mediation doesn't result as
planned, the leader said.
The Honduras coup puts the rights of the
rest of the nations in Latin America at
risk, and accepting the impunity of coupists
would mean an attack to democracy, he
asserted.
Zelaya also stressed he is confident that
international solidarity will remained, so
that Honduran people be the ones to win this
fight gloriously. |
