Never Again, Says Evo
La Paz - Bolivian President Evo Morales assured on
Thursday that in this new historical moment no more
empires will exploit Abya Yala peoples (name of the
Latin American sub continent) who today are
commemorating 200 years of liberation struggles.
In a speech pronounced at Villarroel Square, before
beginning a Bolivarian march with indigenous people
and Bolivian soldiers, Venezuela, Argentina,
Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru all pointed out that it
will be the best way to pay tribute to those who
died in the independence struggles since July 16,
1809 and long before.
The Head of State, visibly moved, said the military
Coups and Coupists are destined to fail as happened
in Bolivia in August-September 2008. He also
stressed that Coupists like Luis Arce Gomez in
Bolivia are in Chonchocoro high-security prison,
referring to the ex interior minister recently
deported from the United States and condemned to 30
years in prison here without a right to pardon.
The Aymara dignitary also denounced the US Southern
Command for promoting and organizing Coup d'etats in
the region and called the armed forces of his
country and the continent to be independent and
prepare their own defense doctrines.
Thanks to the New Political Constitution of the
States (in force since Last February) there would
never again be any US or foreign military bases in
Bolivia
