Venezuela Decries Anti-Honduran Campaign
Caracas - The media campaign to distort the truth
about Honduras was denounced in Caracas on Friday by
Chair of the Venezuelan Parliament Committee on
Science, Technology and Social Communication, Manuel Villalba.
He cited international CNN channel and local
Globovision network, which work in tandem to conceal
the real situation of the Honduran people in the
wake of the coup against constitutional President
Manuel Zelaya.
Since Sunday, those media organizations have been
broadcasting news divorced from reality, trying to
justify the military coup with the objective to back
the de facto government of Roberto Micheletti, who
has been internationally repudiated for this evil
act.
"I think that the mass media have been exposed to
the world because of the media savagery implemented
in the specific case of the Honduran coup they
cannot mask," said Villalba.
