Donated Trains To Arrive Next Month
The train donated by the government of Spain and will be used in the
San José - Heredia are expected to arrive by mid February according
to the president of the Instituto Costarricense de Ferrocarriles (Incofer),
Miguel Carabaguíaz.
Carabaguíaz confirmed that the four trains will be leaving Spain
next week and will be used to carry up to 250 passengers each.
The San José - Heredia commuter train service will operate between
6am and 8am and 4:30pm and 7:30pm with service every 10 to 15
minutes.
The trip between San José and Heredia will take between 20 and 30
minutes, the fare being set at ¢400.
The train service is a ray of hope to solving the congestion problem
of getting to and from Heredia. |
