Lottery Increases Prizes To Increase Lottery

The Junta de Protección Social (JPS) - state
lottery - concerned of low lottery sales
announced bigger prices for the "chances"
lottery in 2010 and incentive for lottery
vendors.
The JPS said it will be pay out more in
prizes without raising ticket costs.
The lottery is concerned of the low sales in
the "scratch" lotteries, with less than half
of the 300.000 lottery tickets on the street
sold.
To motivate sales, the lottery will offer
vendors or "chanceros" who promote the
scratch and win their own lottery, a chance
to earn more free lottery tickets. |
