Parking At Zapote Costs ¢8.000 Colones
Heading out to the Festejos Populares Zapote
(Zapote Fair) this week? Better stop at the
ATM first, as parking lots are charging up
to ¢8.000 colones for a spot anywhere near
the main entrances. And the money is
collected up front to assure no problems
when leaving.
And if you choose to leave the car on the
street, be prepared to hand over at least
¢3.000 colones to the “cuidacarros” or "wachiman",
as they are called those who watch cars
parked on the street.
