Holiday Season Officially On
Government offices and agencies shut down
for the holidays yesterday afternoon and
will re-open on Monday, January 4, 2010.
Many businesses and industries also have
shut down for the holidays or will be
working on reduced hours and days.
In a telephone canvass of some small
businesses and retail shops, some will only
close on Christmas day and New Years day,
while others will be open only Monday and
Tuesday of each week.
Banks will will only close on Christmas day
and New Year's day, both legal holidays,
while some state institutions like ICE will
be open most of the week, and others like
the AyA will be only open for emergencies
after Tuesday.
It is recommended to call ahead.
We have prepared a
list of holiday closings and happenings.
We suggest you check it regularly as it will
be updated as we receive information.
