Airport Employee Gives All A Lesson In
Honesty
A humble employee at the Juan Santamaría
international airport in San José gave all
Costa Ricans a lesson in honesty, when she
found laying around the airport terminal, a
bag with almost us$2.000 dollars, 1.700
Euros and 1.250 Rubles in cash.
The woman, identified only by her last name
Montero, said she found the wallet near one
of the fast food spots in the boarding hall
of the airport and instead of pocketing the
find, decided to contact thePolicía
Aeroportuaria (airport police) to hand over
the wallet which had the identification of
its owner, a man who had already left on a
TACA flight to Havana, Cuba.
The money and identification was then handed
over to TACA officials to be sent to the
man.
The action of Montero is true lesson in
humility and decency, while some categorized
the woman's action as idiotic.
