Marito Sad Over The Vandalism of His Cow
The pod where Marito Mortadela's cow stood
is empty and the man has been seen visibly
sad after hoodlums vandalized the fibreglass
work of art that Municipalidad de San José
gifted the man who has become a fixture on
the "Bulevar", playing his ill tuned
ukulele.
However, the empty spot is temporary.
Rafael Arias, assistant to San José mayor
Johnny Araya, confirmed that the cow art was
removed due to the vandalism and is being
repaired.
The cow, named "Marito Tour" stands near the
corner of Avenida Central and Calle 1.
Marito has been entertaining passersby on
the Bulevar (Boulevard) for years, usually
in front of store fronts and open areas.
However, with the cow donation, Marito has
his own spot on the boulevard and in San
José's history book.
