Bolivia to Consolidate Culture Revolution

LA PAZ - The Bolivian Minister of Culture Pablo Groux said that "it must bet on culture revolution consolidation" to the beginning of Evo Morales new term of office in 2010.

Groux recall that there are 10 subjects in Bolivia's Dignity Plan, which is part of the governmental program for 2010-15 period.

To the authority, all the proposal are important the same way, but it stresses the protection of tangible and intangible heritage, artistic and culture training and the struggle against racism and decolonization.

Groux pointed out that main goal is to try to make the future Plurinational Legislative Assembly to approve the Culture Heritage Law.

According to that regulation, the institutions, the nine departments' prefectures and local governments will be involved in preservation and promotion of heritage items.

The Ministry of Culture will create the Unit for World Heritage Management connected directly to The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

That organization will not only implement the management plans funded by UNESCO, but also will have to find new economic resources to develop Bolivia's heritage.
