Salvador To Build Houses For People Affected
SAN SALVADOR - The Salvadoran government
announce the building of 3,000 houses for
people who were affected by last November 8
heavy rain, which caused one hundred deaths
and many missing people.
According to the President's technical
secretary Alex Segovia, 1,500 of those
houses will be given gratuitously and the
others will be subsidized, for every family
to receive a decent house in a save place.
"More than a half of families that lost
their homes are poor and will have their
houses gratuitously", said the official.
On the other hand, the deputy housing
minister Edin Martinez said there will be
apply subsidies for the rest of the affected
people.
It was also informed that government will
invest 40 million dollar in that program.
The houses will be built in a 12-month
period.
