Costa Rica Coffee Exports Fall in November
Coffee exports from Costa Rica plunged 50
percent in November to 32,200 60-kg bags
compared with the same month a year ago, the
national coffee institute Icafe said on
Tuesday.

Costa Rican exports in November 2008 were
115,697 60-kg bags. Cumulative exports for
the 2009/10 coffee year, which began in
October, were 55,007 bags, down 52 percent
from the same period in the previous cycle.
In the 2008/09 coffee year that ended in
September, Costa Rica -- known for its
high-quality beans -- exported 1.32 million
bags. |
