Honduras: More Evidence of Election Fraud
TEGUCIGALPA - Figures manipulation, alterations in ballot
boxes and other irregularities were
discovered in the electoral process held on
Sunday in Honduras under the coup, denounced
analysts and press media.
Honduras had an election process marked by
abstentionism despite figure manipulation by
representatives of the de facto government,
when stating that 61 percent of the electors
had gone to the polls, stated investigator
Ricardo Arturo Salgado.
He said in his visit to Tegicigalpa he was
able to verify a very low attendance to
polls.
The world should know that this was not a
democratic process, added Salgado. He
denounced the repressive atmosphere, the
militarization and the censure before and
after elections.
According to the Electoral Supreme Court
about 60 percent of the electorate went to
the polls, but the Front against the coup
informed that between 65 and 70 percent
abstained from voting, the highest figure in
the country�s history.
In San Pedro Sula, the second city in
importance, polling stations seemed to be
empty. Security forces compelled citizens to
vote and crushed wildly a peaceful
demonstration, said the intellectual Jorge
Miralda.
According to "El Tiempo" on line several
electoral packages were opened.
In other places the indelible ink to mark
fingerprints ran out; however the process
did not stop. This made possible that
electors could vote more than once.
Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba, Nicaragua,
Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay
rejected the elections. |
