Brazil President Lula Continues To Reject
Recognizing Honduras Poll
ESTORIL, Portugal (Dow Jones) - Brazilian
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva Tuesday
remained firm in his opposition to
recognizing the outcome of Honduras' Sunday
election.
"A coup plotter acted cynically. He didn't
have the right to call an election, " Lula
said at a press briefing during the
Iberoamerican summit that started here
Sunday and ends Tuesday.
Recognizing the Honduran poll would mean a
"serious risk" to democracy in Latin
