Official Rejects Honduran
Interim Government
Managua - The Honduran
interim government would not be recognized
by the international community, Jacinto
Suarez, Nicaraguan deputy to the Central
American Parliament (PARLACEN) said Monday.
Suarez said Central America's integration
process is "injured" as long as the illegal
interim government led by Roberto Micheletti
exists.
Suarez, responsible for international
affairs in the Nicaraguan ruling Frente
Sandinista Liberación Nacional, called for the
ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya's
return to power.
Suarez added that the interim government
will not gain legitimacy even if it summons
presidential election in November.
PARLACEN, founded in 1991, is based in
Guatemala City and has 20 deputies from six
member states. Each member must pay 1.7
million U.S. dollars annually to keep the
group running. |
