Honduras Resistance Strengthens

Tegucigalpa -  The popular resistance against the June 28 coup d''Etat is strengthening and increasing, Juan Barahona, one of the main leaders of the movement, stated.

The union leader told Prensa Latina that to support that statement just see the crowds met Thursday and Friday in the capital demanding the restitution of the constitutional order.

The country is staging a National Popular Resistance March since Wednesday from communities to the capital and San Pedro Sula, the country's second city, Barahona recalled.

Demonstrations against the military coup started June 28, and they are marking today 42 consecutive days of peaceful resistance.

About 1,000 drivers with their vehicles, and members of the National Association of Taxis joined the march yesterday.

The coordinator of the popular bloc stressed that the main activity of the Front members today is a political cultural event at the Tegucigalpa's Central Park, starting 10:00 through 16:00 hours.
