More HIV Cases in Nicaragua
Managua - Nicaragua registered 437 more
HIV/AIDS cases during the first semester of
2009, Health Ministry confirmed Tuesday.
The current number of HIV cases in the
country is 4,313, 64 percent of it men and
36 percent women, according to the same
source.
Those hardest hit by the disease are people
between 15 and 49 years old, and within that
group those between 25 and 29 years old.
On August 29, this capital city of Managua
will be hosting the fifth Encounter on
people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, to
debate medical assistance and aid they
receive from the state.
