Argentina Book Fair
Buenos Aires - The 35th International Book
Fair of Buenos Aires will celebrate Cuba
today with a ceremony and cultural program.
The Cultural Office of the Cuban Embassy in
Argentina will run the celebration at the
Jose Hernandez Hall, the largest at the fair
venue.
Cuban Ambassador Aramis Fuente Hernandez and
Graciela Araoz, president of the local
Writers' Society, will explain Cuba's
attendance to the Fair and book publishing
on the Island.
Also present are Julio Cubria, vice director
of the Capitan San Luis Publishing House and
writer Jose Luis Mendez.
The guest list includes Argentinian
government officials, academics, publishing
executives, and members of political,
social, cultural and solidarity
organizations.
The event will also honor the 50th
anniversary of Cuba's Casa de las Americas.
