of the politicians who
enjoy positive opinions
from Costa Ricans.
Regarding Chinchilla, 6%
of Costa Ricans have a
positive appreciation of
her, 32% have an
unfavorable perception,
and 75% know her. Oscar
Arias is the best known
political figure; 59% of
the people have a
positive appreciation of
him and 37% a negative
one.
On the other hand,
former President Rafael
Angel Calderon
(1990-1994) is the least
popular politician, so
much so that 22% of the
respondents to the most
recent poll assert that
they would never vote
for him. He shares the
bottom part of the list
with former heads of
state Miguel Angel
Rodriguez (1998-2002)
and Jose María Figueres
(1994-1998). |
