The United States, Mexico and Costa Rica remained unbeaten in the semi-final phase of regional World Cup qualifying Wednesday, continuing their march toward South Africa 2010.

CONCACAG group 3 leaders Costa Rica, bidding to reach their third straight World Cup finals, eased past hosts Haiti 3-1 in Port-au-Prince.

Bryan Ruiz scored a pair of goals in the 12th and 73rd, and Alejandro Alpizar added a third in the 86th as the Ticos notched their third win in three matches.

The United States stretched their lead atop Group 1 with a 3-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago.
