New Road To Ease Escazú - San José Traffic Congestion
Residents of Escazú can soon sigh a bit of relief to the constant and growing traffic congestion with the completion of the road that connects Bello Horizonte to Hatillo and the Circunvalación.

The yellow bridge over the river Tiribí has been built for some time, however, the 1.7 kilometre road between Bello Horizonte in Escazú that connects to Hatillo 8 and the Circunvalación and Sabana Sur was never built.

It is estimated that the road will be ready in about 11 months and will ease traffic for some 50.000 drivers daily that move between Escazú and San José.

According to Álvaro Muelas, director general de Autopistas del Sol, the contractor that is making the major improvements on the Prospero Fernandez highway at the Escazú intersection, which forms part of the San José - Caldera highway, the rod completion will cost some us$9 million dollars.
