HAVANA - Foreign Affairs
Ministers of Cuba and
Sierra Leone, Felipe
Perez Roque and Zainab
Hawa Bangura highlighted
the good relations
between these two
countries in their
Wednesday meeting.
Hawa Bangura met Perez
Roque at the host
building of the Cuban
Foreign Affairs
Ministry, in her first
activity of the official
visit she is making to
Cuba.
Perez Roque welcomed her
and highlighted the
special moment in the
bilateral links, saying
that the course of the
cooperation –especially
training of personnel
and medical services-
will be examined.
During the
conversations, he said
that preparations for
the visit of Sierra
Leonean President Ernest
Bai Koroma will be
speeded, and spoke about
the meeting of the
Foreign Ministers of the
Non Aligned Movement in
April 2009.
Hawa Bangura thanked the
support given by Cuban
doctors to her country,
and expressed her
security that the people
of Cuba will get over
the destructive effects
caused by the recent
hurricanes.
The program of the
Sierra Leonean Foreign
Minister’s visit to Cuba
will spread up to
October 5, including
interviews with other
Cuban authorities and
visits to cultural and
economic interest
