Mishelle Mitchell Out
For Now
Costa Rican president,
Oscar Arias, is now
without a spokesperson,
as Mishelle Mitchell has
been left out, as the
employment contract was
not renewed.
Mitchell, was one 28
presidential consultants
paid for by the Banco
Centroamericano de
Integración Economica (BCIE)
- Central American Bank
for Economic
Integration.
Only the contracts of
two of the 28 of the
consultans - Asesores
Legislativos de Costa
Rica and Martha Blanco)
- were renewed,
according to information
provided by Casa
Presidencial.
The contracts expired on
August 31.
For the time being
Mitchell is staying home
and is not known if she
will continue as
presidential
spokesperson, receiving
her pay directly from
the government.
Mitchell said that for
the time being she will
advise the president
only on "timely topics"
and denied speculation
that she will be part of
the Laura Chinchilla
presidential elections
