New Traffic Law Could Be Reality Next Week
Legislators promise to pass the reforms to the Ley de Tránsito by next week. At least that is the good intention of lawmakers in attempt to have the tougher driving laws in time for the holiday season.

The head of the Comisión de Asuntos Jurídicos, Andrea Morales, confirmed the objective of the commission to end all the motions discussions by tomorrow, so that the reform can be sent to the full legislative floor for first reading by next week.

The reforms to the Ley de Tránsito  include tougher penalties for drunk drivers and reckless drivers, upping fines up to 20 times or more of the current.
