Yurelia and Fiorella Are
Doing Fine
Yurelia and Fiorella
Rocha Arias, the Costa
Rican siamese twins that
were separated last
November by doctors at
the Lucile Packard
hospital in California
last year, are doing
well.
The little girls were
joined at the chest and
abdomen and though they
are still not living int
heir home in Alajuelita,
the parents are hoping
to finish the addition
of a room to their home,
they are living with
their mother at a the
home of a family friend
in San José.
The girls who will
celebrate their second
birthday on August 30th
are doing well after
battling
bronchopneumonia and
pneumococcus.
Yurelia and Fiorella
parent's are concerned
because they still have
to finish a retaining
wall before their can
add a room to the back
of their home.
Housing minister,
Fernando Zumbado,
assures that this week
he will send officials
to evaluate the progress
of the work. Zumbado
added that the company
that built the house
donated the materials
for the addition.
