ICE Ordered To Refund
Customers For Providing
Bad Service
Some customers of ICE's
cellular service can
expect a break on their
phone bill soon as the
state institution is
obligated to give back
to its customers ¢47.699
billion colones for
providing bad service.
A total of 36.913
customers will get the
refund because they were
without internet on
their cellular service
for more than eight
days.
The order comes from the
Autoridad Reguladora de
los Servicios Públicos (Aresep)
for a problem
experienced by customers
between January 11 and
25 for those connected
to the Alcatel network
(16.718) and between
January 11 and 16 for
those connected to the
Ericcson network
(20.195).
The Aresep found proof
that customers could not
access the internet, a
paid service provided by
ICE,0 during those days,
following the complaint
by five customers who
took the initiative to
file a written
complaint.
"Our responsibility is
not only to regulate
prices, but also the
quality of services",
said Aresp regulator,
Fernando Herrero. |
