Another Copter Crashes In Panama City
A private helicopter crashed into the Albrook Airport grounds here Wednesday, only days after a similar crash killed the Chilean police chief.

The pilot and all four passengers survived the accident with mild injuries, said a spokesperson for Panama's Civil Aeronautical Authority.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The helicopter was about to land at the airport at 12:51 p.m. local time (1651 hrs GMT) when the accident occurred. The copter was coming in from Buena Ventura, 120 km from the capital Panama City.

Rescue teams immediately rushed to the site. Police cordoned off the area while fire fighters put out the blaze caused by the crash.

On May 29, a Panamanian National Aerial Service helicopter crashed into a store in a commercial district of Panama City, killing 11 people including visiting Chilean General Director of Police Jose Alejandro Bernales.
