Certification
Clinica Biblica Hospital
in San José has received
an international
certification as a
destination for the
so-called health
tourism.
In Costa Rica, private
institutions provide
health care to visitors
from other countries,
particularly from the
United States, who
cannot afford treatment
in their homeland but
can pay for it and for
travel expenses to Costa
Rica with a much lower
budget.
Only 136 hospitals
outside the United
States are certified,
and Clinica Biblica
Hospital is the first
one in Costa Rica to do
