Gasoline Cheaper Today, But Going Back Up Soon
The cost of super and regular gasoline is cheaper today as the latest decrease took effect at the stroke of midnight. However, the price of diesel shot up.

Today, a litre of super gasoline costs ¢562, down from ¢574 and regular ¢551, down from ¢559. However, a litre of diesel will cost ¢521 colones.

It is best to take advantage of the lower prices because they are going back up again soon, as the state refinery, Recope, made a request for an increase last Friday.

The Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) - regulatory agency - has yet to decide on the latest request whcih will see the price of a litre of super jump ¢10, regular ¢9 and diesel ¢3.
