Nicaragua Stresses Chavez Proposal on FARC
Nicaraguan politician and diplomat Tomas Borges said on Sunday Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez' proposal about the status that the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) should have is fair, exact, and reasonable.

El Nuevo Diario daily highlighted on Sunday Borges' statements about the issue to Peruvian media.

The politician, his country's ambassador to Peru, called practical Chavez' idea of recognizing the Colombian guerrillas as an insurgent force.

That plan seeks to reach peace, the most invaluable of all treasures, according to the also Sandinista leader.
