Number of Palmares Drunk Drivers Drops
It appears that the message of do not driving and drive has hit home with Palmares festival goers.

In the latest report by the Policía de Tránsito (traffic police), only five drivers were forced to abandon their vehicles for being over the limit.

More than 150 Tránsito officials have been on full alert during the commencement of the festival last Thursday and though things got off to a bad start, when 21 drunk drivers were pulled off the road Thursday alone, drinking and driving has dropped off.
