Nicaragua-Venezuela Talk Cooperation
Presidents Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega of Venezuela and Nicaragua, respectively, will evaluate cooperation between both governments and peoples during the past year, informed Government minister and first lady, Rosario Murillo.

The leader of the Citizen Power Councils indicated that both leaders will list the points of cooperation for 2008 both bilaterally as well as in the framework of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA).

Murillo is in Guatemala accompanying president Ortega for the investiture of the new president, Alvaro Colom, and reported that ALBA will hold its presidential summit on January 25 and 26 in Caracas.

The meeting between presidents Ortega and Chavez is a preparatory encounter between both heads of state and the evaluation work teams regarding work projections of ALBA, she added.

She emphasized that ALBA represents a sunrise for the peoples, a dawn of humanity and brotherhood and true interdependent development.
