Gasoline and Natural Gas Prices Drop Approved
Good news for the pocketbook, gasoline and natural gas prices are coming down next week.

The Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) approved a reduction of ¢13 colones for a litre of super gasoline, ¢12 for regular and ¢16 for diesel. In addition, natural gas used primarily for cooking will drop ¢19 colones per litre.

The reduction in prices is expected to go into effect next Thursday, following the publication of the Aresep approval next Wednesday in the official government publication, La Gaceta.

The reduction is due to lower crude oil prices on international markets and the colon/dollar exchange rate.

The price will change as follows:

Super gasoline ¢578 ¢565
Regular gasoline ¢565 ¢553
Diesel ¢527 ¢511
