Young Concerned With Security and Unemployment, Poll Reveals
A recent poll, the "Primera Encuesta Nacional de Juventud", revealed that 1.613.947 Costa Ricans between the ages of 15 and 35, live with the fear of insecurity and unemployment.

The group represents 40% of the country's population and their main goals are to complete their studies and better job opportunities.

However, insecurity is the main cause of concern in the country and add unemployment, the concerns of the young are even greater. The poll also revealed that the high cost of living, corruption and poverty are concerns of the young.

The poll was taken by the Consejo de la Persona Joven y el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas during 2007.
