Venezuela ships oil to Nicaragua
Nicaragua's government this weekend is receiving 250,000 barrels of crude oil from Venezuela worth USD 21 million, in the first oil shipment this year, Friday said Minister of Energy and Mines Emilio Rappaccioli.

The official explained that the Venezuelan crude oil would be stored at Corinto port and processed in Managua refinery, as agreed two months ago with US multinational Esso Standard Oil, an affiliate of Exxon Mobil, DPA reported.

Rappaccioli told a local radio station that this is the first oil shipment in 2008, a year when President Daniel Ortega expects Venezuelan oil sales to amount to 10 million barrels, according to an agreement he initialed with his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez under the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA).
