Direct Flights to Bogota
The Colombian airline Avianca will start operating four weekly non-stop flights between San José and Bogota starting this February 29.

The airline has scheduled flights for Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Te South American carrier plans on further expanding operations by adding other flights, depending on authorization from the local Civil Aviation authorities.

Avianca has been offering flights between San José and Bogota in partnership with TACA airlines, who has daily non-stop flights between the cities.

Avianca is one of the two Colombian airlines that will be offering flights between Costa Rica and Colombia. AeroRepublic has announced plans to start flying to Costa Rica but has yet to announce a start up date.

Currently, in addition to TACA, Copa Airlines offers daily flights to Colombia from San José with a stop over in Panama City.
