The Quintavalle Saga Continues; Fiscalía Requests Revoking Conditional Liberty
Matteo Quintavalle, the Italian businessman accused of defrauding his investors, may soon be back behind bars, as a Pavas judge will have the final decision on the request by the Fiscalía (prosecutors) to return Quintavalle to preventive detention after he was released on conditional bail.

The Fiscalía, in a private hearing, asked the court to revoke Quintavalle's conditional liberty.

"We came to see and wait a decision on my situation, we are calm and will see what happens", Quintavalle said outside the courthouse.

The Italian is being investigated with fraud of us$12.5 million dollars from his investors.

The conditional liberty granted Quintavalle months back was based on his ailing health and that he could get better medical attention outside the jail. The Fiscalía, however, argues that the businessman is a flight risk and the longer he is free the better the chances that he may leave the country.
