Business Owners Express Confidence in Economy
According to the latest quarterly survey released by the Unión Costarricense de Cámaras y Asociaciones de la Empresa Privada (UCCAEP) - Union of Private-Sector Chambers and Associations - business owners are feeling positive about the economy in Costa Rica.

The survey took in the opinion of some 400 business owner of which 94% felt that the Costa Rican economy will continue growing or grow even faster than the last quarter.

The survey was done during the first weeks of January 2008 before the Banco Central de Costa RIca released its assessment of the Costa Rican economy showing only a growth of 4.8%, lower than the 6.8% for 2007.

The survey index shows the highest confidence in the economy since the UCCAEP began taking surveys 10 years ago.
