Bilingual Job Fair To Offer 3.000 New Jobs
Three thousand jobs are being offered at the fourth de "Feria Bilingüe de empleo" (bilingual job fair), organized by the Coalición Costarricense de Iniciativas de Desarrollo (Cinde).

Applicants who are fluent in English will have the opportunity for jobs in areas of business administration, accounting, computer programming, electronics, customer service and technical support, among other positions.

The bilingual job fair will be held between March 7 and 8 ad the Centro Nacional de la Cultura (Cenac), located in the old Fábrica Nacional de Licores (Fanal) in San José.

Entrance to the job fair is free.

According to the director of Cinde, Gabriela Llobet, this year service oriented companies will be offering some 8.000 jobs, 3.000 of which are being offered at the Ferio Bilingue.

Companies like Proctor and Gamble, IBM, Intel, DHL, HP, Western Union, Orbis, Dole, Sykes and Oracle will all be participating, who will be taking job applications during the job fair and then make their selection.

Llober said that during 2007, 14 new companies coming to Costa Rica were responsible for the creating of 5.000 new jobs.

More information on the companies, positions and requirements is available at the Cinde website: www.cinde.org. Job seekers should use the information on the website to prepare a job application and curriculum vitae. Llober suggests that the information for submission should be in print and in digital format.

In addition to English, a number of companies are also looking for applicants fluent in French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Mandarin and Cantonese.
