Nicaragua, US Continue Negotiations Meds for Missiles
Nicaragua continued negotiating with the United States Wednesday to receive medicines and medical equipment in return for destroying Sam-7 missiles.

A US medical delegation is expected to arrive in Managua in March to continue negotiating the exchange, informed Adrian Zelaya, general secretary of the Health Ministry.

The delegation will have an inventory of the hospital equipment requested by Nicaragua in exchange for destroying 600 rockets as the White House demands.

Nicaragua acquired the missiles in the 1970s to face the counterrevolutionary war sponsored by the US operating from Honduras.
