More Rain Forecast
Rain poured on many areas of the west side of San José yesterday afternoon, especially in Rohrmoser, La Sabana, Escazú, Santa Ana and parts of Heredia, catching many off guard and without an umbrella. The winds were so strong that they blew rain in all directions, soaking everything in its path.

Everything east of La Sabana park was sunny and dry.

According to Evelyn Quirós, of the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) - the national weather service - the hot humid air from the strong sun of the morning turning some clouds into rain clouds.

The rain was intense but did not last long, on its way in under 15 minutes and will continue for the rest of the week, according to Quirós.

The areas that can expect sudden downpours are the western part of the Central Valley and the South and Central Pacific.

Best is to keep an eye on the afternoon clouds and carry an umbrella just in case.

In a matter of minutes the sunny skies to turned to dark clouds, dumping lots of rain on many parts of the west side of San José.
