Guatemala, Cuba Boost Collaboration
Guatemalan Vice President Rafael Espada and his accompanying delegation continue Friday visiting Cuba, to further expand collaboration.

Today"s agenda includes meeting with Cuban Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration Minister Marta Lomas.

Espada met Thursday with the island's Vice President Carlos Lage at the Council of State, and visited the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM).

During his stay at that center, the Guatemalan official told Prensa Latina that relations between his country's new government and Cuba will be improved.

"Exchange is magnificent now, we have greater links through medicine, culture, sports and other areas of technical and economic growth," he stated.

The Guatemalan vice president said he is very happy and proud of the ELAM, which has graduated 440 Guatemalan physicians and another group of 58 in August.
