"Mamatrén" A Success
Some 90 mothers took part in the "mamatrén", promoting the importance of breast feeding for the development of a child.

The "mamatrén" - breast feeding train - left the Rincón Grande de Pavas station at 9am and made its way through San José to the east side Estación del Ferrocarril al Pacífico station.

Accompanying the mothers were family members a group of mariachi providing entertainment.

The activity is part of the World Breastfeeding Week, promoting breastfeeding marathon events around the world.

In conjunction with the Olympics, WBW 2008 called for greater support for mothers in achieving the gold standard of infant feeding
