BCR ATM's Down All Day Monday
Some 1 million Banco de Costa Rica (BCR) bank customers were without the use of Automated Teller Machines (ATM's) and the customer service computers at the branches were slow. The problem affected all ATM's and branches in the country.

The situation was made worse as it coincided with payday for most, finding the inability to make cash withdrawls from their accounts.

Moisés Carmona, manager for the Tecnología del Banco de Costa Rica department said that the problem had been intermittent but did not say what had caused it.

Although bank officials were working to resolve the problem. The BCR sad it hopes to have the problem completely resolved by today.

Many customers were upset with the bank's inability to provide services, especially on payday.
