Panamanian Celebrities Head Tourist Campaign
Panama's Minister Ruben Blades and celebrities like athlete Irving Saladino, pro model Justine Pasek and former professional boxer Roberto Duran, will promote Panama like an international tourist destination, it was reported Friday.

These Panamanian outstanding celebrities play the filming of several short advertising spots that will centralize the 2008 promotional campaign, financed by a government budget of 39,5 million dollars for the next five years.

The Panamanian Institute of Tourism (IPAT) prioritizes the ecotourism products, beach, golf, congresses and conventions, among other segments.

Professionals from Panama and Mexico will take part in the filming, under the direction of Mexican famous director Simon Bross, who will produce six commercials to be used by IPAT in the international promotion.

It was told that among the chosen scenarios to present the image of the country, there will be the Omar Torrijos Recreational Park, the National Theater, the President Remon Horse Race Track Field and the old places of this capital, as well as other places of all the provinces of the country.
