Tornado Raises Roofs in Cartago
A tornado instilled panick in the area of Sagrada Familia and La Chinchilla in San Rafael de Oreamuno in Cartago yesterday afternoon.

At least eight houses were damaged as their roofs were completed pulled up by the force of the strong winds. Some of the residents lost everything.

This year there have been several tornados hitting different areas like Agua Caliente in Cartago; Hatillo, Alajuelita and La Carpio in San José, where more than 50 homes have lost their roofs.

In the case of Oreamuno, residents are now waiting on the Comisión de Nacional Emergencias to assess the damage and offer help to rebuild.
