Transit Police Gets Aggressive
For Semana Santa
In a bold and aggressive move,
the Policía de Tránsito will be
patrolling key intersections on
around the clock basis and will
be using unmarked cars and
officers in detecting speeding
and erratic driving.

The landscape of the area
surrounding the Parque de la
Sabana on the west side of San
José will change within the next
24 months with the construction
of some 10 condominium buildings
ranging from 17 to 20 floors

Ley Seca Goes Into Effect
Midnight Wednesday

of Ley 7633 of 26 September
1996, that controls the sale of
liquor in the country, will kick
as of midnight Wednesday and be
in effect until after midnight
Friday, leaving the country
"dry" of all liquor, wine and
beer sales.

Instituto Meteorológico Nacional
(IMN) warns of strong waves,
during the week and is asking
beach goers to use precaution.

got off scott free after he got
his head stuck in the fence and
the owner did not press charges.
