Cuba, Guatemala Sign Science
Accord
Cuba and Guatemala signed here a
scientific collaboration
agreement that foresees the
exchange of information and
experience in agriculture,
research of natural resources
and biotechnology.
Lima Dominguez Acosta, Vice
Minister of the Cuban Ministry
of Science, Technology and
Environment and Rosa Maria
Anaya, Guatemala National
Coordinator of Science and
Technology signed the agreement.
While speaking at the ceremony,
Dominguez Acosta recalled that
Cuba has helped to train
Guatemalan doctors for many
years, but evidently, more could
be done in this field.
The Vice Minister highlighted
the agreement was materialized
during the Guatemala Week of
Science.
Dominguez Acosta met here
researchers from several
universities, among them the
University of San Carlos, del
Valle and Mariano Galvez.
